Cognition is a paranormal thriller with a
graphic novel aesthetic, classic point-and-click adventure gameplay, and a
gripping storyline. FBI agent Erica Reed has a secret weapon for tracking down
killers: a "sixth sense" that reveals flashes of the past so she can piece
together how a crime unfolded. When she starts finding clues at crime scenes
that seem to have been left specifically for her, she suspects that someone
knows her secret -- are they trying to help, or luring her into a trap? In the
series' high-stakes conclusion, past and present converge when the details of
Scott's death are revealed and Erica comes face to face with his murderer. But
during the final showdown between clairvoyant and serial killer, even Erica's
paranormal powers might not be enough to stop the Cain Killer from finishing
what he started.
The 4-episode Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller
has been releasing quarterly since October 2012. Partially funded by a
successful Kickstarter campaign, the series was developed by a passionate indie
team with help from veteran adventure game designer Jane Jensen (Gabriel
Knight, Gray Matter), who consulted on the story.
Cognition's long-awaited Steam release follows a 10-month Greenlight
effort that amassed more than 25k votes from the gaming community.
MY REVIEW
I love this game even though the voice acting isn't really all that great but I love the game because it is challenging and at a lot of parts I was having having problems trying to get further.
I recommend this game.
I give this 4 out of 5
